Take it back to the days of TV dinners, but step it up about ten notches! You can even add a little brownie with sprinkles if you want.
For the "steaks":
1lb Ground Venison
1 Egg
2 tbs Almond Meal
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cream of tarter
Salt and Pepper
For the sauce:
2 cups beef broth
Small package of mushrooms (around 6oz)
1 tbs Almond Milk (or Coconut or cream)
2 tsp Arrowroot Starch
2 tsp cold water
Pepper
Preheat your oven to 350.
Mix all the "steak" ingredients together with your hands just until it's all combined, Form 4 "steaks" and put them on a baking sheet, Bake until brown (start checking at about 15 minutes) then broil for a couple minutes to add a little crust.
For the sauce, mix the broth, mushrooms, and pepper in a pot. Bring them just to a boil then drop to a simmer until your mushrooms shrink and get soft. Add your milk. Mix the water and starch in a separate bowl until combined then add to the sauce and simmer for another few minutes until thickened a bit.
Dump sauce on your steaks and enjoy.
(To make the garlic mashed cauliflower just cook cauliflower florets until soft, drain, add garlic, and mash, or if you want it creamier you can whirl it in your food processor or a blender.)
